The Florida Professional Firefighters is hosting a very special fundraiser to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project, a 501c-3 that assists wounded soldiers when they come home from overseas.
The Boat of Heroes is a 16’ fishing boat that is wrapped in the American Flag. It comes with the trailer, Yamaha Motor, GPS Fish Finder, trolling motor, and other accessories.
The Florida Professional Firefighters is now holding an internet ticket pre-sale ahead of the official debut of the boat. Tickets are $5, plus $1 so we can mail out purchased ticket. The boat will start to make its way around the state in June.
The Wounded Warrior Project is a Jacksonville Florida based 501C-3 that assists wounded soldiers as they come home after being overseas. The WWP assists with the purchase of prosthetic limbs and provides recreational outings for these soldiers as they try to get back to living their lives.
At this time, the Florida Professional Firefighters is asking each of its friends on MySpace to forward the information regarding the Boat of Heroes to their friends. Those wishing to purchase tickets can do so by visiting the Boat of Heroes web site- www. boatofheroes. com.
