06-16-09 New Milford, NJ - Working Fire
June 16, 2009 - Central Dispatch toned out the New Milford Fire Department at 0258 hrs for a reported apartment fire at the 200 block of Faller Drive. First arriving police officers confirmed a heavy smoke condition and that they had three victims outside the apartment with possible smoke inhalation. Fire Inspector Alan Silverman arrives updating that there's a mattress on fire in the 2nd floor bedroom. Firefighters from E33 stretched in the 2-1/2 apartment line deep into the court with a gated-wye and hooked in a 1-3/4 attack line and advanced up the stairs. Firefighters from E34 set up the same as E33 and provided a backup line. TL31 set up a ground ladder to vent the bedroom and removed the air conditioner out of the window. New MIlford Volunteer Ambulance evaluated the victims at the scene and were not transported to the hospital.
