11-16-09 Haworth, NJ - 2nd Alarm
November 16, 2009 - Haworth and Demarest firefighters were dispatched for a reported basement fire in a single family dwelling. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy smoke as flames were starting to vent itself from the basement windows in front of the home. Haworth Fire Chief Bob Hennion requested a 2nd alarm be transimtted bringing Dumont Rescue 3 and Closter Tower 769 to the scene and Oradell Fire and Cresskill Fire to cover empty firehouses. During the initial attack, 3 STAT-X Fire Responder Extinguishing Agent Grenades ( http://www.statx.com, http://www.aaaemergency.com) were used to help extenguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.
