06-01-10 New Milford, NJ - Working Fire
June 01, 2010 - At 0635 hrs, Central Dispatch toned out the New Milford Fire Department for a reported house fire located at 70 Pershing Avenue. First arriving New Milford Police Officers confirmed a working shed fire with fire extending to a detached garage belonging to a neighbor. Department Chief Lawler arrives establishing Command and orders 1st due Engine 34 to tag the hydrant and lay in from Grand Street and Pershing Avenue and stretch a 1-3/4" attack line. Engine 33 tagged the hydrant at River Road and Harrison Street and drop about 500 feet of 5-inch supply line to protect the neighbors house due to exposure problems. The main body of fire was knocked down quickly and placed under control in under 20 minutes with no injuries reported.
