08-16-10 Emerson, NJ - Working Fire

August 16, 2010 - At approx 1840 hrs, the Emerson Fire Department was dispatched for a reported fire on the 100 block of Orchard Avenue. First arriving Emerson police officers confirmed a working fire at the rear of the house. It appears the house was struck by lightning which caused minor damage. The fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control with no injuries reported.
