1-27-10 Cresskill, NJ - 3rd Alarm
January 27, 2010 - At approx 1245 hrs, the Cresskill Fire Department was dispatched for a report of smoke coming from a house located at 123 Truman Drive. Chief Christopher Ulsholfer arrives and confirms heavy smoke pushing from a very large 2-1/2 story wood frame residential (mansion type) and requests a 2nd alarm and then quickly to a 3rd alarm. Crews gained entry and were met with heavy fire on the stairs and balcony on the 2nd floor.
Members from Ladder 7 conducted primary and secondary searches which proved negative as members from Engine 5 laid in from the hydrant and stretched attack lines and knocked down the fire.
