Closter, NJ - January 26, 2014
Nine people were injured where four were transported to area hospitals after a car ran the stop sign at High Street and Closter Dock Road. The car sideswiped the bus forcing into oncoming traffic hitting a second vehicle head-on and the bus veering off the road just missing a very large tree, a detached garage then striking another tree coming to rest in a yard.
Closter Police first on the scene and assessed the passengers. At first there were no reported injures but the Closter Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Corps was called for extrication because the doors to the bus were damaged due to the accident. The Closter Fire Department was also called for leaking fluids resulting from the crash. Moments later passengers were feeling the pains from the crash and multiple ambulances from the area were called in. A total of mine people were injured but only four were taken to area hospitals to be evaluated.
