Union City, NJ - 04/18/10
April 18, 2010 - Union City, NJ - At approx 11:24 a.m., North Hudson Fire and Rescue was dispatched originally for a truck into two buildings with fire. Companies found a truck fire with heavy fire into two buildings upon arrival.
A second alarm was transmitted a few minutes later ast two, three story OMD’s were heavily involved with severe exposure problems.
A 3rd alarm was transmitted at 11:36 which brought in Jersey City and Hoboken Fire Departments as well as Jersey City Gong Club and multiple EMS agencies from around the area.
At 11:53 a fourth alarm was toned out as the two original fire buildings began to collapse due to the heavy fire load.
Six firefighters were treated with minor injuries and all residents were eventually accounted for. The fire was knocked down around 1330 hrs.
