Millcreek, PA - 03/28/09
On the evening of 03/28/09, fire was was reported at 1809 Tree Top Drive in the Millcreek section of Erie, PA. The Granada Apartments is a 3 story garden apartment complex, each section consisting of 21 apts. Upon arrival, the Kearsarge Fire Chief ordered a second alarm with heavy fire showing through the roof. The building was 3 story frame 300x 50 which became fully involved.

Exp 2 - alley passway (seperated by 30 feet)
Exp 3 - rear yard
Exp 4 - Parking lot
Exposure 2's siding melted and started to smoke. Exp 2 was another complex 3 story frame 300x50. The firefighters water supply was hampered due to a loop system in the complex. Responding units had to make multiple relay systems from other fire depts. Tankers were also called in and a 1/2 mile of 5 inch hose was streched and their water supply was pumped in from Walnut Creek.
Other fire departments that responded were... Kearsarge, Belle Valley, Perry Highway, West Ridge, Kuhl Hose, Wesleyville, Brookside,and the City of Erie Fire Depts.
