Union City, PA - 12/02/10
December 02, 2010 - At 11:40 am the Union City, PA Fire Department had a reported fire at 77 South Main Street. This was an old storage building formerly owned by Ethan Allen Furniture. The building was 210,000 square foot. When units arrived they found fire and smoke on 2nd floor. Hydrants are few and far between. As the fire spread rapidly units were ordered out of the building. With me living in Erie some 25 miles away I heard units being called from over 30 miles away so I decided to take it in at 12:45 pm. I arrived at 13:15 to find heavy smoke and fire on the Exposure 3 side. Over 30 Departments responded for water supply. The fire went to 6 alarms.
