Hillsdale, NJ - 12/19/08

December 19, 2008 - Hillsdale, NJ 2nd Alarm - The call came in at about 4:30am. A neighbor saw the flames and reported the fire as a possible chimney fire. Arriving police officers confirmed it as a working structure fire. Firefighters were on scene for approx. 4 hrs. Park Ridge was the FAST and Twp. of Washington also operated at the scene since the home was located on the border. The female homeowner who was home at the time of the fire was rescued by the first arriving police officers. She was taken to the hospital for burns to her back and legs. Four dogs were also rescued by police officers, Tyco Animal Control and members of the Hillsdale Fire Dept.
