1. Fund Raising

Friends of Chief Wright 1st Show

March 13, 2011 - March 13, 2011 - On December 27, 2010, Chief Troy Wright suffered a severe heart attack at the age of 47. Thanks to a quick response by emergency medical services members from Emerson Volunteer Ambulance, he was revived and transported to the hospital where doctors placed him in a medically induced coma for several days. With months of rehabilitation ahead his road to recovery will be a long one. As a volunteer with 27 years of service to the town, Chief Wright has demonstrated... that he truly is a fighter.

The Leonia Volunteer Fire Company #1 organized this benefit dinner in an attempt to raise funds to offset some of the medical costs connected to Chief Wright’s continued care. Outback Steakhouse was eager to lend a hand and serves as the official sponsor who cater this event. The benefit dinner was open to the public, and everyone was encouraged to come out and enjoy an evening of good food, raffles, and entertainment by The David Christopher Band.
