SWAT and RDF Exercises - 11-05-09
November 05, 2009 - The Bergen County Police Chiefs Association in conjunction with the Bergen County SWAT team put together a training exercise that would test local police agencies in the event of a shooter/hostage situation in schools or large commercial buildings.
Officers from the New Milford, Paramus, Tenafly, Lyndhurst, Fort Lee and Fair Lawn police departments, as well as officers from Bergen County SWAT, Bergen County Medical SWAT team, Bergen County Rapid Deployment Force (RDF), Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, active shooter instructors from the New Milford Police Department and school resource officers spent most of the day at the New Milford High School.
